Job Title: Flooring Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Flooring Assistant to join our team at Designer Flooring. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced floor layers with various tasks on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt under the supervision of experienced floor layers.
  • Perform routine maintenance work and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
  • Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
  • Sort, crate, and stack goods as needed.
Requirements:
  • Physically demanding work environment.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Will train on the job.
Working Conditions:
  • Varied work locations, including construction sites.
  • Exposure to heavy machinery, chemicals, and other hazards.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with varying temperatures and weather conditions.
Language:
  • English is the primary language of communication.
Work Schedule:
  • 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime as required.
