We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee the fire service business in New Brunswick, with our office located in Dieppe. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and directing the fire service operations, working closely with our sales team to achieve business objectives.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician or Electronic Technologist looking to take on a leadership role. You will have a strong background in fire alarm systems, panel programming, and customer service. Your ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Direction: Oversee the fire service business in New Brunswick, ensuring that all operations are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Field Work: Perform scheduled and unscheduled service calls and inspections throughout New Brunswick, PEI, and occasionally Nova Scotia.
  • Customer Communication: Maintain effective communication with customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Scheduling and Labor Management: Work with managers and administrators to ensure labor requirements are met, manpower is adequate, and scheduling is efficient.
  • Productivity Improvement: Ensure fair and effective performance measurements are assigned, and employees are motivated to achieve and/or exceed their goals.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all field employees comply with corporate safety programs, and employee safety training is complete and up-to-date.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision care, available from day one. You will also have access to extensive product and on-the-job training opportunities, as well as a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8-10 years' experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or Electronic Technologist.
  • Electronic Technologist or Electronics background preferred.
  • Fire Alarm Control Panel programming experience.
  • Ability to prepare accurate reports, documentation, and verification reports on time and with high-quality output.
  • CFAA certification preferred, or willingness to complete certification program (company-paid).
  • Demonstrated business acumen and supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Ability to travel throughout New Brunswick, PEI, and occasionally Nova Scotia to attend scheduled and unscheduled service calls and inspections.
  • Participation in on-call rotation is required.
