Job Summary

As a Senior Systems Engineer at Randstad Canada, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of technical requirements, verification approaches, and verification methods. You will collaborate with requirements engineers to ensure consistency with developed requirements and monitor the integrity of product structure, system architecture, and compliance throughout the product development cycle.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct technical meetings to discuss project progress and identify potential risks

Manage engineering workbooks, which include design information and progress reporting

Record and track project risks and risk mitigation actions, as identified by design engineering, SE, VA, and project engineering

Facilitate the development, preparation, review, and approval of project documentation, such as checkpoint reviews, to ensure quality at the sub-system level

Requirements

University degree or college diploma in engineering

Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, systems engineering, or software

Strong technical and analytical ability, with basic knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to give presentations to internal and external customers

Preferred Requirements

Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets and schedules

Product knowledge of military/LAV family of vehicles

Strong knowledge of cross-departmental procedures and practices

Strong knowledge of vehicle design practices

Exposure to software development or software requirements

Basic understanding of requirements development and system verification processes

Working knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals
