About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fashion Designer to join our team at Buffalo David Bitton. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and stylish designs for our women's apparel line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on the latest fashion trends and industry developments.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our brand's aesthetic and design principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, production, and sourcing, to ensure design concepts meet business objectives.
  • Design and develop prototypes, technical packs, and product specifications for new and existing products.
  • Work closely with graphic designers to develop original prints and graphics for our products.
  • Ensure all design timelines are met and products are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Participate in fit approval processes and provide feedback to ensure products meet quality and aesthetic standards.
  • Develop and maintain a cohesive and on-brand product assortment.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to inform design decisions.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in ladies apparel design, with a strong background in fashion design and product development.
  • Excellent understanding of contemporary and lifestyle markets on a global scale.
  • Strong knowledge of apparel constructions, materials, costing, and processes.
  • Ability to take ownership and be accountable for design decisions and product development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Knowledge of PLM systems is an asset.
  • Experience in creating technical drawings, CAD, and illustrations is required.
