At MAPEI Inc., we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic Millwright to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant's equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems.
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Perform welding and cutting tasks as required.
- Operate and maintain electro-mechanical components.
- Assist in the improvement of plant equipment functionality.
- Work independently on various shifts, including overtime as needed.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including article 27(1) and (2) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Industrial Establishments.
- Participate in inventory control and stock management.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to achieve departmental goals.
- High School Diploma and 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic.
- Millwright license and/or electrician certificate.
- Knowledge of mechanical constituents, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with PLC and computer literacy to work with CMMS.
- Strong mathematics and mechanical skills.
- Decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership and autonomy.
- Analytical capacity and sense of initiative.
- Time and priorities management.
- Perseverance and ability to work under pressure.
