Job Overview


This role involves greeting, seating, and serving guests in a friendly and courteous manner, taking and delivering food and beverage orders, anticipating needs, suggesting menu items, receiving payments, and assisting other staff as needed.


As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient service, developing strong product and menu knowledge, and adhering to Denny's Brand Standards and internal policies and procedures.


Requirements and Qualifications



  • You are an effective communicator in English, both orally and in writing.
  • You are a team player, collaborative, and attentive.
  • You can work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • You have excellent guest service and people skills.
  • You are self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask effectively.
  • You have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
  • You can lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 30 lbs.
  • You can stand and walk throughout a 4 to 8 hour shift.
  • You must be able to legally work in Canada.
