Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our team at VCA Canada's Tri Lake Animal Hospital & Referral Centre. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and delivering a high standard of service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of urgent care and oversee anesthesia for both elective and emergency surgery
  • Participate in providing wellness & preventative care for companion animals and exotic species
  • Conduct physical examinations, patient assessments, and radiology procedures
  • Prepare patients for surgery, assist during procedures, and oversee patient recovery
  • Keep detailed and accurate patient records
  • Provide compassionate care for hospitalized patients and their pet parents
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously and problem-solve effectively
  • Develop strong interpersonal skills in working with colleagues and clients

Requirements

  • Completed or in the process of completing a Veterinary Technologist or Animal Health Technologist program
  • Technical skills or knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a healthy work-life balance
