Veterinary Receptionist Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at Tri Lake Animal Hospital and Referral Centre. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient and client care, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and their pets, ensuring a positive experience at every interaction.
  • Manage the front desk, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and handling client correspondence.
  • Process payments, create estimates, and explain fees to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Assist with admitting and discharging patients, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area, including the removal of animal waste and general housekeeping duties.
  • Develop a strong understanding of veterinary services, medical office procedures, and assist the veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and veterinarians.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
