We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Veterinary Technologist to join our team at VCA Canada's Tri Lake Animal Hospital & Referral Centre. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients and their pets.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the management of urgent care and provide wellness & preventative care to patients
- Participate in providing anesthesia for both elective and emergency surgery
- Conduct physical examinations, patient assessments, and radiology procedures
- Prepare and assist with surgical procedures, and oversee patient recovery
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Provide compassionate care to hospitalized patients and their pet parents
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously and problem-solve effectively
- Develop strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and clients
- Completion of a Veterinary Technologist or Animal Health Technologist program
- Technical skills and knowledge in physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
