About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Sakura Sushi Cobourg. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and service of food in our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that high-quality dishes are served to our customers.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
  • Reporting and Administration: Prepare and submit reports, and maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and other key metrics.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or culinary role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong attention to detail.
