Job Title: Class 3 Operator

Birch Mountain Enterprises LP is seeking an experienced Class 3 Operator to join our team at the Kearl site. As a Class 3 Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating Class 3 units, ensuring the efficient transportation of goods and materials.

Job Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to work with a reputable company in the industrial sector. As a Class 3 Operator, you will be responsible for operating Class 3 units, including vacuum trucks, water trucks, and flatbeds. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate Class 3 units in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure the safe transportation of goods and materials.
  • Perform daily documentation, including daily logbooks, customer work orders, and field-level risk assessments.
  • Follow instructions from Dispatch or Supervisor.
  • Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of company image.
  • Attend daily toolbox and safety meetings as scheduled.
  • Adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.
  • Maintain and operate all BME tools and equipment to required standards.
  • Ensure all training is kept current.
  • Follow all TDG and WHMIS standards and regulations.
  • Seek out continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Provide customer-focused services in all activities.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Class 3 driver's license (minimum) with clean driver's abstract.
  • Minimum 3 years experience operating Class 3 equipment, including up to 18-speed manual transmission.
  • Previous experience operating water, vacuum, hydro, or combo vac units.
  • Mine drive experience is an asset.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification.
  • Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service for Alberta, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, and H2S Alive considered an asset.
  • Certification in Confined Space and Fall Protection.
  • Certification in H2S Alive.
