Job Title: Class 3 Operator

Job Summary:

Birch Mountain Enterprises LP is seeking an experienced Class 3 Operator to join our team. As a Class 3 Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating Class 3 units in a variety of industrial settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate Class 3 units in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform daily documentation, including daily logbooks, customer work orders, and field-level risk assessments
  • Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of company image
  • Attend daily toolbox and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures
  • Maintain and operate all BME tools and equipment to required standards and procedures
  • Ensure all training is kept current
  • Follow all TDG and WHMIS standards and regulations
  • Seek out continuous improvement opportunities
  • Provide customer-focused services in all activities

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 3 driver's license (minimum) with clean driver's abstract
  • Minimum 3 years experience operating Class 3 equipment, including up to 18-speed manual transmission
  • Previous or related experience operating Water, Vacuum, Hydro, or Combo Vac units
  • Mine drive experience is an asset
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification
  • Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service for Alberta, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, and H2S Alive considered an asset
  • Certification in Confined Space and Fall Protection
  • Certification in H2S Alive
  • Must successfully pass BME driver's evaluation, D&A, and fit for duty pre-employment screening
