Job Summary

Birch Mountain Enterprises LP is seeking an experienced Class 1 or 3 Operator to join our team in Fort McKay. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of Class 1 or 3 units, including water, sewer, vacuum, and tanker trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Class 1 or 3 units in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections, as well as complete daily documentation, including logbooks and customer work orders.
  • Follow instructions from dispatch or supervisors and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Attend daily toolbox and safety meetings, and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ensure all training is kept current and follow all TDG and WHMIS standards and regulations.
Requirements
  • Valid Class 1 or 3 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating Class 1 or 3 equipment, including manual transmission experience.
  • Previous experience operating water, vacuum, hydro, or combo vac units is an asset.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, as well as OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification.
  • Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service for Alberta, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, and H2S Alive is considered an asset.
