Job Title: Gas Installation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Gas Installation Specialist to join our team at Friendly Fires. As a Gas Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient installation of gas lines and equipment.

About the Role

This is a permanent position requiring 35-48 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gas fitting and hold a valid Gas Fitter Trade Certification. Experience working with residential clients is an asset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and mark reference points for the installation of gas lines and equipment.
  • Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment.
  • Advise clients on standards, safety features, and maintenance of gas units and systems.
  • Supervise other workers as needed.
  • Study drawings and specifications to determine the layout of the installation and materials required.
  • Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices.
  • Test and replace defective equipment or components.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Gas Fitter Trade Certification.
  • Experience working with residential clients is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Working Conditions

As a Gas Installation Specialist, you can expect to work in various locations, including residential settings. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in physically demanding conditions.

Salary and Benefits
