Job Summary

Friendly Fires is seeking a skilled Gas Technician to join our team. As a Gas Technician, you will be responsible for installing and repairing gas lines and equipment, as well as advising clients on safety features and maintenance of gas units and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment
  • Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment
  • Advise clients regarding standards, safety features and maintenance of gas units and systems
  • Supervise other workers
  • Study drawings and specifications to determine the layout of the installation and materials required
  • Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices
  • Test and replace defective equipment or components
Requirements
  • Gas Fitter Trade Certification
  • Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 3 or C
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Tools
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
