Job SummaryWe are currently seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator to join our team in Sackville, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the Christmas Kettle Campaign in Bedford/Sackville/Dartmouth zone. This is a full-time contract position with an estimated salary of $20 per hour (approximately $41,600 per year) based on 30-40 hours of work per week.
Key Responsibilities:- Support Kettles Deployment: Ensure all Kettles are delivered to designated locations before volunteer arrival at campaign onset.
- Daily Operations: Supervise and support Kettle volunteers throughout the campaign, ensuring security of donations received and responding to queries from potential donors.
- Communication and Reporting: Communicate daily issues and supply deficiencies to City/Assistant Coordinator, submit accurate timesheets and mileage reports weekly.
- Volunteer Management: Orient and remind volunteers on proper Kettle handling duties as required, participate in recruitment of new volunteers.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in customer service, marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum of one year of experience in community outreach, customer service, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work well under pressure.
- Driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
- Strong knowledge of community resources and partnerships.
