Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Outreach and Programs Director to join our team at The Salvation Army in Canada. This is a full-time position based on 35 hours per week, offering competitive compensation and benefits.

About the Role

The Community Outreach and Programs Director will provide holistic leadership to community outreach, programming, and ministries in accordance with The Salvation Army's mission, vision, and values. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, implementing, maintaining, and evaluating programs relevant to the ministry unit body and community.
  • Ensuring fundraising objectives for the community are consistently met through careful planning, organization, and networking within the community.
  • Networks with non-Salvation Army government and community social assistance and service providers to coordinate resources for the benefit of clients.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of prior related experience, including leadership, people management, and experience in a pastoral role. They must possess strong communication skills, written and verbal, and remain calm in crisis situations. A valid Driver's License; personal vehicle and insurance, and a current copy of a Driver's abstract are also required.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $75,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as medical, dental, and RRSP benefits eligibility after 3 months. The closing date for this position is December 1st, 2024.
