Training and Development Coordinator for Visual Impairment Services

At Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind, we are seeking an experienced Instructor of Persons with a Visual Impairment to join our team. This is a temporary position working 40 hours per week in a rural area. If you have a valid driver's license and are willing to relocate, we encourage you to apply.

About the Role

This role involves providing education and training to individuals with visual impairments, focusing on independence and mobility skills. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for creating personalized learning plans, conducting assessments, and developing strategies to address individual needs.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and handle heavy loads. A strong background in client-focused service delivery and experience working with adults is essential. Additionally, you must have a valid driver's license and own transportation.

Key Responsibilities

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field, such as education or social services, is required. The estimated salary range for this position is between $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
