Job Summary

Flex-N-Gate is a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry, seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services, partnering with various internal departments to inspect and validate parts to meet customer expectations and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Verify the content of containers for proper part application and conformance to specified requirements, including LH vs RH application, Front vs Rear application, proper color designation, part number, and part description, correct quantity, and no obvious defects.
  • Verify Packaging according to packaging plans and/or customer specifications, including packing materials, shipping containers, skids, and shipping labels.
  • Inspect and Verify Shipping Labels are accurate, properly applied, and legible.
  • Verify Special Identification and/or other required documentation is applied to container, if applicable.
  • Maintain a Daily Report of inspection activities.
  • Communicate Concerns to appropriate Supervisor(s) and Department Manager(s).
  • Additional Duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
  • Environmental Management System (EMS) awareness, understanding, specific responsibilities, and management as stated in EMS policy CEVPL.00005.
  • Quality Management Systems Manual awareness, understanding, specific responsibilities, and management as stated in CQAM.00001.
Working Conditions
  • Able to physically inspect Company property and assets.
  • The ability to see details at close range.
  • Excellent visual acuity combined with the ability of a minimum of FMHH average color discrimination.
  • Must be able to lift, twist, bend, squat, climb, stand, and walk continuously in close, confined surroundings.
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Overtime as required.
Qualifications
  • Associates degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively along with basic mathematical skills.
  • Knowledge of molding, paint, or assembly processes preferred.
  • Ability to distinguish colors based on the Munsell color aptitude test and check adequate visual activity.
  • Understanding of customer-specific inspection standards.
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft and Quality Systems.
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
  • Experience with PolyWorks considered an asset.
