Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Housing Sector Development Manager to join our team at BC Housing. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering collaborative partnerships with housing and service providers to provide high-quality stable, safe, and affordable housing and housing-related services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in senior and advanced level positions relating to non-profit society management or delivery of social services and community-based programs. You will also possess considerable knowledge and understanding of the philosophies, theories, and principles associated with the delivery of government social and regulatory programs by non-profit societies and contracted community service providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster collaborative partnerships with housing and service providers to provide high-quality stable, safe, and affordable housing and housing-related services.
  • Provide education, consultation, and support to Boards of Directors and Executive staff of Non-Profit Societies and Cooperatives regarding the effective management of their social housing properties.
  • Assess the financial risk of non-profits and coordinate the delivery of contracted services for a variety of housing-related programs.
  • Serve as the key relationship manager for the assigned portfolio of housing providers and act as the single point of contact in managing various issues related to the delivery of housing and housing-related services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or other relevant discipline, including post-secondary courses in non-profit society management and/or social service delivery.
  • Extensive experience in senior and advanced level positions relating to non-profit society management or delivery of social services and community-based programs.
  • Considerable knowledge and understanding of the philosophies, theories, and principles associated with the delivery of government social and regulatory programs by non-profit societies and contracted community service providers.
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Criminal Record Check required.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
