About the Position

BC Housing seeks an experienced Strategic Non-Profit Housing Manager to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of non-profit society management and social service delivery.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in senior-level positions relating to non-profit society management or delivery of social services and community-based programs. They will be responsible for fostering collaborative partnerships with housing and service providers, providing education and support to Boards of Directors and Executive staff, and assessing financial risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster collaborative partnerships with housing and service providers to provide high-quality stable, safe, and affordable housing and housing-related services.
  • Provide education and consultation to Boards of Directors and Executive staff on effective non-profit society management.
  • Assess financial risk and coordinate the delivery of contracted services for various housing-related programs.
  • Serve as the key relationship manager for assigned portfolios of housing providers.
  • Supervise Financial Review & Budget Assistants and initiate, coordinate, and facilitate expertise and services for other staff members.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or relevant discipline, including post-secondary courses in non-profit society management and/or social service delivery.
  • Extensive experience in senior-level positions relating to non-profit society management or delivery of social services and community-based programs.
  • Considerable knowledge and understanding of non-profit society governance, operation, budgeting, maintenance, administration, procurement, contracting, and staffing.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, consultative, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to strategize, plan, coordinate, integrate, and manage portfolios of non-profit societies.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
