ThePub is a leading creative agency that produces high-quality print and digital materials for its clients. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Proofreader and Quality Control Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

The Senior Proofreader and Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of all print and digital materials produced by ThePub. This includes reviewing and proofreading materials for typographic errors, brand guideline compliance, and overall quality.

Main Responsibilities

  • Review and proofread print and digital materials for accuracy and consistency
  • Ensure compliance with brand guidelines and logo placement
  • Annotate errors and inconsistencies clearly and concisely
  • Deliver PDFs with clearly written notes to the creative, account services, and print production teams
  • Compare press-ready PDFs before shipping to external vendors
  • Review and approve press-proof PDFs as supplied by the vendor

Qualifications and Technical Skills

  • 5-8 years of proofreading experience in an ad agency, marketing department, design studio, or print environment
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat is essential (working knowledge of InDesign and other Adobe apps would be a plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, is essential

People Skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively and show a willingness to help others
  • Be a self-starter and take the initiative
  • Communicate effectively with studio staff and the broader agency team
  • Administrative tasks include attending daily studio status meetings
