Senior Mechanic Technician


First Student Canada-Transco is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanic Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing school buses to ensure vehicle readiness and safety.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Diagnose and repair vehicle and equipment malfunctions with minimal supervision.
  • Overhaul and reinstall mechanical components as needed.
  • Lead preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
  • Ensure work orders are completed accurately and maintain records of all maintenance work completed.
  • Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken.
  • Adhere to First Student standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:



  • Must have required Mechanic license.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Advanced problem-solving ability.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
