About the Role

We are currently seeking a qualified School Bus Technician to join our team in Georgetown, ON. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet.

Salary and Benefits

Our School Bus Technicians can expect to earn an estimated $40 per hour based on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including:

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be able to diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle repair under minimal supervision. Responsibilities will include:
  • Removing, overhauling, and reinstalling mechanical components
  • Leading preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections and annual maintenance inspections
  • Ensuring work orders are completed properly and accurately
  • Notifying supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken
  • Evaluating completed work prior to release and seeking approval where required
  • Leading road calls and emergency services as necessary

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:
  • A valid driver's license
  • A Mechanic license
  • Advanced problem-solving ability
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
