Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled 310T Mechanic to join our team at First Student Canada-Transco. As a Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of school buses to ensure vehicle readiness and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and perform accurate repairs on vehicle and equipment systems, including brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, and drive trains.
- Lead preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately, maintaining records of all maintenance work completed, including parts and supplies used.
- Notify supervisors of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken.
- Adhere to First Student standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Must have required Mechanic license.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Must have appropriate mechanic's tool set.
- Advanced problem-solving ability.
- Advanced computer skills.
