Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg.

The successful candidate will provide expert nursing care to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and discharge.

Responsibilities
  • Provide independent nursing services, including administration of prescribed medical treatments
  • Lead the healthcare team in providing high-quality patient care
  • Facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge
  • Develop and implement education programs for healthcare staff
Requirements
  • Recent experience in emergency nursing preferred
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba required
  • Graduate of an approved registered nursing education program required
  • Completion of WRHA Emergency Nursing Orientation training Level 1 within two months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current emergency nursing experience
  • Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at the Healthcare Provider level
  • Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) certification for program area an asset
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with varied shifts, including midday and midevening shifts. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, adapting quickly to changing situations.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $62,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
