Our Edmonton Zone Continuing Care team provides services through five main program areas: Home Living, Supportive Living, Facility Living, Transition Services, and Specialty Programs. The Specialty Programs portfolio includes Children's Home Care (CHC), a multidisciplinary team that collaborates and delivers services in the community to children from birth to 18 years old with various medical and/or developmental needs/conditions, including palliative care. Job Summary:

As an Administrative Support V, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices, and initiatives within a department or program. Your varied duties may include preparing agendas and meeting minutes for external stakeholders, typing/word processing and formatting of documents, spreadsheets, and graphs to create reports and presentation materials, scheduling meetings, complex calendar management, financial invoice preparation, site management, education, training, and back-up support to other admin staff, including electronic scheduling of client appointments, client data entry, records management, and related documentation.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare agendas and meeting minutes for external stakeholders
  • Typing/word processing and formatting of documents, spreadsheets, and graphs
  • Scheduling meetings and complex calendar management
  • Financial invoice preparation and site management
  • Education, training, and back-up support to other admin staff
  • Electronic scheduling of client appointments, client data entry, records management, and related documentation
Requirements:
  • Completion of post-secondary education (certificate in office or business administration)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software programs
  • Excellent formatting, grammar, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to deal with numerous interruptions and work independently in a busy multi-tasking environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous Continuing Care experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS-Excel, MS-Visio, and MS-Project
  • Basic knowledge of e-people, Oracle, Home First, and Meditech
