Job Title: Logistics Supervisor

Lakeside variety store is seeking a skilled Logistics Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and logistics functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure efficient workflow and meet customer demands.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on inventory levels, shipping and receiving activities, and other key performance indicators.
  • Ensure the maintenance and repair of computer equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work to be performed by external contractors as needed.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Train workers in duties and policies to ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Arrange training for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate employee performance and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Coordinate, assign, and review work to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to meet business needs.
Supervision:

You will be responsible for supervising a team of 3-4 people.

Computer and Technology Knowledge:

Proficiency in MS Outlook is required.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

You will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and be required to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs).

Personal Suitability:

We are looking for someone who is accurate, client-focused, efficient, and has excellent oral and written communication skills. You should be flexible, have initiative, and be able to work as part of a team.

This is a permanent position with 35 hours per week. The work language is English.
