Logistics Supervisor Job Description

Petro-Canada gas station is seeking a skilled Logistics Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordination and Planning: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure efficient logistics operations.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports to management on logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise a team of 3-4 people and provide guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Training and Development: Train workers in duties and policies, and arrange training for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff to ensure they are meeting performance expectations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Outlook and other relevant software applications.
Work Environment:

The Logistics Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong attention to detail and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.

Physical Demands:

The Logistics Supervisor will be required to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and work in a variety of environments, including warehouse and office settings.
