Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Efficiency Specialist, Trainer & Industry Consultant to join our team at CareerBeacon. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in delivering energy efficiency training to industry professionals and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver energy efficiency training programs for industry professionals, including building science training, Energy Star training, and Net Zero training.
  • Provide mentoring and consultation services to builders and industry stakeholders to help them move from code-built to high-performance and net-zero labeled buildings.
  • Collaborate with our Training Team to design and implement training programs that meet the needs of the residential construction industry.
  • Travel throughout New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada to meet with industry practitioners and stakeholders, develop positive working relationships, and share the latest in building science information.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, building codes, and government policies to ensure our training programs are relevant and effective.
Requirements
  • Registered Energy Advisor with Natural Resources Canada.
  • Experience in providing energy efficiency support to the residential construction industry and homeowners through the EnerGuide Rating Service (New & Existing & MURBS), and Energy Star for New Homes.
  • Qualified CHBA Net Zero Energy Advisor and Trainer.
  • Extensive knowledge of Hot2000.
  • HRAI Training including F280 and F326 would be an asset.
  • Experienced trainer, speaker, and presenter.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and bilingualism in both official languages would be an asset.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Current Member of CACEA - Canadian Association of Consulting Energy Advisors would be an asset.
