Energy Advisor, Trainer & Industry Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Energy Advisor, Trainer & Industry Consultant to join our team at the Canadian Home Builders Association NB (CHBA-NB).

About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position that requires a strong background in energy efficiency and training. The successful candidate will work closely with our Training Team to deliver energy efficiency training to the residential construction industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building science, energy efficiency principles, and training methodologies. They will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs, providing mentoring and consultation services to builders, and serving on industry committees and councils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver energy efficiency training programs for the residential construction industry
  • Provide mentoring and consultation services to builders on energy efficiency best practices
  • Serve on industry committees and councils to shape program and policy development
  • Travel throughout New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada to meet with industry stakeholders and builders
Requirements
  • Registered Energy Advisor with Natural Resources Canada
  • Experience in providing energy efficiency support to the residential construction industry and homeowners
  • Qualified CHBA Net Zero Energy Advisor and Trainer
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
