Facilities and Energy Optimization Manager

Position Overview

We are looking for a Facilities and Energy Optimization Manager to lead the management of our central warehouse, corporate headquarters, and retail locations. This role involves creating and executing a comprehensive strategy for facilities and energy optimization aimed at reducing maintenance expenses and minimizing energy usage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate an annual Facilities Strategy
  • Advise the organization on sustainable practices
  • Supervise the Facilities team
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations and industry standards
  • Oversee maintenance agreements
  • Track and manage building automation systems
  • Establish both short-term and long-term asset management plans
  • Gather and interpret energy consumption data
  • Investigate energy efficiency initiatives
  • Communicate strategies for asset management and energy conservation

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field
  • Certification as a Certified Energy Manager or equivalent
  • In-depth understanding of commercial building regulations and maintenance protocols
  • Exceptional project management and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial energy efficiency projects
  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus

Work Environment

  • Position based at the Retail Operations Centre
  • Some travel may be necessary
