Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Best Western Fernie Plus Mountain Lodge. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring seamless guest experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Process group arrivals and departures, taking into account individual guest needs and preferences.
  • Take, cancel, and change room reservations as required, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Provide general information about local attractions and points of interest, enhancing the guest experience.
  • Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures, prioritizing guest safety and well-being.
  • Perform various clerical duties, including faxing, filing, and photocopying, as required.
  • Answer telephone calls and relay messages in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist guests with special needs, providing personalized support and care.
  • Contact guests to deliver requested wake-up calls, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

  • Will train, but a willingness to learn and adapt to our systems and processes is essential.
