Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Best Western Fernie Plus Mountain Lodge. As a Front Desk Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, handling room reservations, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner
  • Process group arrivals and departures, taking into account room availability and guest preferences
  • Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
  • Provide general information about local attractions and points of interest to guests
  • Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a professional and courteous manner
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments to ensure optimal room utilization
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures, ensuring the well-being of guests and staff
  • Perform various clerical duties, including faxing, filing, and photocopying
  • Answer telephone calls and relay messages to guests and staff in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist guests with special needs, providing personalized support and services
  • Contact guests to deliver requested wake-up calls and provide general information about hotel services
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving issues in a prompt and professional manner

  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Will train on the job

  • Hours: 40 hours per week
