We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team at CPA Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to lead preliminary investigations of complaints of professional misconduct and provide technical expertise in accounting and assurance matters.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading preliminary investigations, reviewing materials, conducting research, and developing risk-adjusted case plans to gather evidence and assess whether a breach of the CPA Code of Professional Conduct or Student Code of Conduct may have occurred. The ideal candidate will also prepare reports, briefs, and other documents that will inform decisions made by the Director, Standards Enforcement and/or the Professional Conduct Committee.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have a post-secondary degree and be a member in good standing with CPA Ontario. Experience in public accounting within a regulatory or compliance environment is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, are also required. You should be proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Salesforce, with familiarity with Power BI or other data analytics tools being a plus.

What We Offer

As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist with CPA Ontario, you can expect a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
