We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Technologist to join our Remediation Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing Phase I/One and II/Two Environmental Site Assessments, monitoring underground storage tank removal programs, and assisting in the training and mentorship of junior/intermediate project technologists.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform Phase I/One and II/Two Environmental Site Assessments, including soil, groundwater, and soil vapour sampling in support of municipal redevelopment approvals and Record of Site Condition filings.
- Monitor underground storage tank removal programs and other remediation activities.
- Assist in the training and mentorship of junior/intermediate project technologists.
- Prepare and edit technical reports, including the development of conceptual site models.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other potentially involved stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships.
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or Engineering and/or Diploma in Environmental Science.
- 3-5 years of related experience, preferably in Ontario.
- Professional designation, such as P. Eng., P. Geo., C.E.T. etc. (or working towards) is considered an asset.
- Excellent writing, editing, technical, and organizational skills along with the ability to problem solve.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Ontario Regulation 153/04.
- Experience with Excess Soils work under Ontario Regulation 406/19.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Availability to travel for work when required.
- Availability to work outside core business hours.
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and personal vehicle are required (work-related travel expenses will be compensated).
