MRI Technologist

Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care and practice activities in a multidisciplinary family-centered care environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care and practice activities
- Performing a complete range of tests and procedures related to MRI exams, MR safety, patient preparation, and screening
- Preparing and maintaining patient information registries and reports
- Maintaining equipment and performing other duties as relevant
- Current registration with the Canadian Medical and Biological Engineering Society (CMBES)
- Current Canadian Magnetic Resonance certification
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Medical Technologist, preferred
- Minimum 1 year MRI experience, preferred
- Current CAMRT Registration, an asset
- Recent experience with Siemens Scanner, an asset
- Thorough knowledge of the theory and practices of procedures, equipment, and special techniques related to MR
- Evidence of sound organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work well in stressful situations
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills with the ability to work well with patients, families, all levels of staff, and the community
- Able to function effectively as a member of the multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to work well independently and to exercise sound judgment
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the position
- Must have a satisfactory performance record

- The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and OPSEU Local 348
- Successful External applicants must provide a satisfactory Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector, dated within the past six (6) months
