Job Title: MRI Technologist

Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care and practice activities in a multidisciplinary family-centered care environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care and practice activities
  • Performing a complete range of tests and procedures related to MRI exams, MR safety, patient preparation, and screening
  • Preparing and maintaining patient information registries and reports
  • Maintaining equipment and performing other duties as relevant
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the Canadian Medical and Biological Engineering Society (CMBES)
  • Current Canadian Magnetic Resonance certification
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Medical Technologist, preferred
  • Minimum 1 year MRI experience, preferred
  • Current CAMRT Registration, an asset
  • Recent experience with Siemens Scanner, an asset
  • Thorough knowledge of the theory and practices of procedures, equipment, and special techniques related to MR
  • Evidence of sound organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work well in stressful situations
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills with the ability to work well with patients, families, all levels of staff, and the community
  • Able to function effectively as a member of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to work well independently and to exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the position
  • Must have a satisfactory performance record
