Job Summary:

The Raven Cafe Lead Hand is a key member of the Mount Washington Alpine Resort team, responsible for managing and organizing the Front of House staff in the Raven Cafe. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in training new employees to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Supervise and assist Raven Cafe Baristas in their daily tasks.
  • Maintain effective communication with the back of house staff.
  • Function as an on-floor point of contact for all frontline staff.
  • Delegate and/or perform general janitorial duties as needed.
  • Order products from the main alpine lodge on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Manage staff tip outs.
  • Take and relay food and beverage orders.
  • Create specialty coffees and pastries.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Provide food and beverage product knowledge.
  • Use proper serving techniques.
  • Operate assigned POS system and perform daily cash procedures.
  • Complete daily tasks such as restocking, cleaning, general maintenance, etc.
  • Have general knowledge of the resort.
  • Be flexible and work in other areas of the Nordic operation if needed.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the Raven Lodge by adhering to set safety rules and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Previous food and beverage experience is an asset.
  • Serving It Right is mandatory.
  • Food Safe is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Cash handling experience an asset.
  • Excellent time management skills required.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations is required.
  • POS experience and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHIMS) are assets.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Salary Range: $19.00 to $21.00 Hourly
