Data Scientist for AI and Machine Learning Solutions

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to build artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions for our customers. As part of a small, agile team, you will apply various models to large electronic communication archives to classify and understand communication content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with data scientists and developers to design and deploy machine learning models
- Execute the entire data science process from understanding business requirements to deploying models
- Identify and solve important problems, coordinating with others on cross-cutting technical issues
- Participate in design review, code review, sprint planning, and other Agile artifacts
- Collaborate with Product Management on user story generation and refinement
- Mentor junior and intermediate data scientists via pairing and reviews
About You:
- 5+ years of experience solving machine learning problems
- BSc in STEM or Linguistics or equivalent work experience
- Experience working with large datasets in an enterprise-wide application environment
- Proficiency in Python and Bash
- Familiarity with common machine learning libraries like PyTorch, Sklearn, TensorFlow, and TensorRT
- Experience mentoring junior and intermediate data scientists
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Nice-to-Haves:
- MSc or PhD in STEM or Linguistics (considered additional experience)
- Data collection and cleaning experience
- Experience with acoustic or language models for speech recognition, natural language processing models, large language models, Kubernetes, and microservices
Compensation and Benefits:
This role offers a competitive annual base salary range of $120,000 - $130,000 CAD, plus a corporate bonus, extended health benefits, RRSP Matching, and a commission structure for Sales roles.
