About the Job
Samsung Electronics Perú is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Digital Health Analytics team in Vancouver. This role requires passion for big data technology and delivering data insights to drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced machine learning and AI models to address business challenges.
- Analyze large datasets to understand usage and performance of the Samsung Health service.
- Apply latest advances in LLM, NLP, and recommender systems to build innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with data engineers to develop data and model pipelines.
- Work on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variables.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a data scientist/analyst, building and deploying ML/AI models or hands-on experience developing deep learning and predictive models.
- Expertise in SQL and Python programming languages, including libraries like SciKit-Learn, Pandas, TensorFlow, and Keras.
- Experience with AWS services, such as EC2, S3, Athena, Lambda, Kinesis Firehose, and Redshift.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience working with mobile industry data or digital healthcare applications.
- Familiarity with Airflow, EKS, EMR, Redshift, and Kubernetes environments.
Salary Information:
The estimated salary range for this role is between $86,100 to $128,150 per year, reflecting base salary only. Actual pay will be determined based on factors such as job-related knowledge, competencies, qualifications, relevant skills, and experience.
