We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Account Executive to join our team at HUB International Canada West ULC (Canada West). As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting our full suite of insurance products and services to businesses and individuals.
Key Responsibilities- Effectively manage customer expectations and provide exceptional service
- Assist clients with questions regarding their coverage and communicate with company personnel regarding client needs and/or problems
- Understand agency rating systems and company rating systems and websites
- Negotiate with underwriters from other insurance companies on rates and coverage
- Follow-up on requested changes, renewals, etc. with insurance companies
- Review and analyze claims and discuss with clients
- Discuss and explain coverage to clients
- Accounts receivable follow-up
- New business and renewal sales presentations
- Closing the deal - up selling/cross selling
- Prospecting for new business, typically with a premium of $20,000 to $100,000
- Preparing marketing submissions, proposals, and summaries of insurance
- Responsible for checking the accuracy of policies, endorsements, audits, etc. received from insurance companies
- Issuing certificates of insurance and motor vehicle liability slips
- Reviewing payments
- Other miscellaneous duties as required
- Level 2 General Insurance License
- Driven to achieve sales results
- Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships
- Thorough knowledge of commercial insurance
- Strong commitment to personal growth and development
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strong organization skills
