About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Insurance Advisor to join our team at Hub International Canada West ULC (Canada West). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service and building long-term relationships with our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist producers and marketers with all aspects of servicing commercial accounts
- Meet existing clients' needs and process documentation (Certificates of Insurance, Cover Notes, Renewals, Proposals, Endorsements, In-House Policies, Invoicing, Finance Contracts, Customer Correspondence)
- Review and ensure accuracy of policy documentation from insurers before forwarding to the client
- Contact clients for renewal information
- Take client calls and answer questions regarding coverages, accept and process online quotes
- Negotiate with insurers on coverage and price so as to best meet the needs of the client in conjunction with the producer
- Update client information as changes occur
- Answer account related questions/requests from clients, lawyers, and banks
- Provide policy and coverage information to clients upon request or inquiry
- Will be assigned some minimal, but regular duties to help support the floater position
Requirements
- Level 2 Insurance License or willingness to obtain
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
- Motivated to help support a diverse team and contribute in a team environment
- Minimum of one year commercial insurance experience as an Insurance Advisor
- Pro-active and a self-starter with a keen attention to detail
- Strong customer service focus with the ability to deliver positive client experiences and meet their desired needs
- Demonstrated ability to communicate (written and verbal), present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
- Works well in a fast paced, client-focused environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Industry designation an asset (CIP, CAIB, CRM, General Insurance & Risk Management Diploma – BCIT)
What We Offer
- The expected salary range for this position is $55,000.00 to $68,000.00 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope, and level
- HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions
