Job Summary

Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a skilled Medical Office Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer patient-related inquiries via computer or telephone
  • Direct and advise visitors to wards, departments, and book on-call rooms for residents and family sleep rooms
  • Provide training to other Information/Reception staff as needed
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12
  • Medical Terminology Levels 1 & 2 Certificate
  • Previous office experience and/or experience with Meditech
  • Proficient typing (minimum 35 wpm) and computer skills Word 2000
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability for detail work
  • Ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision
  • Excellent public relations skills
  • Conflict resolution skills
