Job Description:

Job Title: Intermodal Logistics Coordinator

Challenger Motor Freight Inc is seeking a highly skilled Intermodal Logistics Coordinator to oversee and facilitate the supply chain operations of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Account Management: Manage accounts from all aspects, including quoting, booking spot shipments, customer service, track-trace, and closing orders.
  2. Customer Experience: Ensure the highest level of customer experience is provided through prompt and effective communication.
  3. Margin Improvement: Responsible for improving margins through various methods, including optimizing routes and reducing costs.
  4. Compliance: Ensure compliance with customer volume expectations, investigating and advising management on any shortfalls.
  5. Quick Response: Respond quickly to spot quotes and customer requests, providing timely and accurate information.
  6. After-Hours Support: Be available after hours to assist with resolving issues and ensuring seamless operations.
  7. Delivery and Security: Follow up on delivery delays or security issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing disruptions.
  8. Audit Requirements: Ensure all audit requirements are completed and scanned in our Transportation Management System (TMS) prior to dispatching loads.
  9. Order Closure: Ensure closure of all orders in the TMS system within 24 hours of delivery.
  10. POD Collection: Ensure collection of all missing PODs from carriers within 48 hours of receiving the email.
  11. Extra Charges Approval: Obtain approval from customers for any extra charges within 48 hours of occurrence and scan approvals into TMS.
  12. ETA Communication: Ensure proper communication of ETAs to customers or receivers to book delivery appointments before storage is incurred.
  13. Carrier Qualification: Ensure carriers are qualified in our TMS and Risk Management Information System (RMIS).
  14. Relationship Management: Grow and maintain existing and new carrier or customer relationships, fostering strong partnerships.
  15. Urgency and Attention to Detail: Perform work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail, ensuring local systems are updated in a timely manner.
  16. Communication and Coverage: Ensure all information is properly communicated to peers to ensure coverage is always present, including during sick days or vacations.
  17. Bilingual Requirement: Must be bilingual to effectively communicate with customers and carriers.
