Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that customer needs are met and that they receive excellent service.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, and other operational metrics.
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure that inventory levels are maintained.
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates for food and supplies.
  • Team Management
    • Hire and train new staff members to ensure that they are equipped to meet the demands of the role.
    • Develop and implement training programs to improve staff skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment is preferred.
  • Work Setting
    • Food service establishment, coffee shop, fast food outlet or concession, or restaurant.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, and team player.
