Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled General Merchandise Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a General Merchandise Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with the sale of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner.
    • Assist customers by promoting products and services, locating merchandise, and making purchase decisions.
    • Resolve customer issues and refer concerns to management as needed.
  • Store Maintenance
    • Cover an assigned area on the sales floor.
    • Zones assigned area to ensure a clean and organized environment.
    • Moves feature merchandise to its modular home.
    • Works recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas of the store.
  • Front End Coverage
    • Assist with Front End coverage as needed.
    • Communicate with other associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained.
  • Safety and Security
    • Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures.
    • Ensure displays and fixtures are secure.
  • Merchandise Handling
    • Stock merchandise and pick items as needed.
    • Downstock items if applicable.
    • Apply product protection when required.
    • Set and complete modulars, including flex modulars and set new shelf caps.
Requirements
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Previous retail or customer service experience an asset.
