Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining insulation systems in various commercial and industrial settings. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
- Select and apply the appropriate type of insulation required for the job
- Measure and cut insulating materials to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools
- Apply and secure insulation using various methods, including spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, and taping
- Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs
- Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials
- Apply waterproofing cement or other materials over insulating materials
- Steam and condensate process lines
- Plumbing, cold water, and drain lines
- Ventilation and exhaust systems
- Hot water systems and equipment
- Air conditioning systems
- Basic security clearance
- Valid driver's license
- Own transportation
- Public transportation available
- Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling
The successful candidate will work in a variety of commercial and industrial settings, including construction sites, factories, and warehouses. The role requires the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
