Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Boom Truck Operator/Driver to join our team at Convoy Supply. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating our HIAB equipment to deliver products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate HIAB equipment to load and unload materials
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and equipment are in good working condition
  • Load and unload materials in a safe and efficient manner
  • Comply with company and government regulations and rules
  • Ensure load securement and protect products while in transport
  • Match shipments to sales invoices
  • Use Samsara to ensure compliance, safety, efficiency, and customer service
  • Operate truck safely and efficiently
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Inspect vehicle daily as per Highway Traffic Act
  • Maintain clean equipment and monitor maintenance requirements

Requirements:

  • Class 3 CDL with clean driver's abstract
  • HIAB experience/crane certification required
  • Preferably having at least 3 years of driving experience
  • Must be able to physically lift up to 100 lbs
  • Manual Transmission experience is an asset
  • Knowledge and competency in flat deck load securement
  • Physically able to complete job tasks such as climbing ladders, pulling and throwing tarps, lifting up to 100 lbs
  • Able to pass a Criminal Background check
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
