We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to lead our StrongStart Outreach Program in Sd62. The successful candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a passion for working with young children and their families. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in promoting the development of young children in our community.

About the Position:
The StrongStart Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing a program that supports the physical health and well-being, social and emotional development, language and cognitive development, and communication skills of infant/toddler and preschool-aged children. You will work closely with our community partners to develop a program that meets the unique needs of our remote communities. Your primary goal will be to provide family-friendly environments and opportunities for parents/caregivers to make connections and practice activities that support early learning.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • To deliver a program that meets the BC Early Learning Framework standards.
  • To collaborate with community partners to develop and maintain a program that meets their unique needs.
  • To provide opportunities for parents/caregivers to observe and practice activities that support early learning.
  • To attend meetings and professional learning sessions related to StrongStart, as required.
  • To maintain positive working relationships with community partners and service providers.
